HEXAGRAM 56: GUEST

The wanderer. Never in one place, roams from town to town. Auspcious for travelers.

The Lines (base to top)

A guest is trashing the place
He clasps his stuff to his chest
He is burning down the house
His axe lies under the bed
A pheasant is killed: one shot
The guest's laughter turns to tears

Commentary

Fire over mountain. Will the lookout see the smoke?

Take care to douse the embers before you move on.
