HEXAGRAM 48: WELL

The town may change, the well stays where it is. Deep waters are still. Lean too far over and the result will not be good.

The Lines (base to top)

Well full of muddy water
Shooting catfish in a well
Good water that no one drinks
Well lined with ceramic tiles
Clear, cool water from the well
An uncovered well gone dry

Commentary

Water over wind. Or water over wood: a well.

Reach down; raise up.

Repeat.
